205 LeRoy H. Utschig. Age 71. Passed away on Sat., Jan. 14, 2012 after a courageous battle with Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis.
He was born on June 26, 1940 to Raymond and Rosetta (nee Brantmeier) Utschig and grew up on a dairy farm in St. John, WI. LeRoy married Ruth Gauthier on August 10, 1963 in DePere.
Survived by his wife Ruth; children Brad (Michele) and Lisa (Christopher) Utschig-Johnson; grandsons Ryan, Gavin, and Nathan; sister Lois Zachek; brothers-in-law Lester (Laurel) Nett; Gene (Mary) Gauthier, and Russell Matzke; and sister-in-law Rita (John) Drewieske. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and beloved pet, Taffi. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Elaine Nett, and sister-in-law Joan Matzke.
LeRoy spent over 50 years in the insurance business as an underwriter, educator, published writer of insurance articles, and expert witness in insurance. He was fully accredited in all aspects of insurance and was president of Utschig Insurance Publications, Inc.
An avid biker for decades, LeRoy completed several century rides and numerous charity rides. He spent hours reading mysteries, woodworking, and playing computer mahjong.
Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM on Sat., Jan. 21st at St. Boniface Catholic Church, W204 N11940 Goldendale Rd. in Germantown with Fr. Loyola Amalraj presiding. 216 Lois J. McIlquham, 85, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of the town of Anson, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Colfax Nursing Home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

She was born June 19, 1927 in Chippewa Falls to Nina (Lauer) and Otto Berg.

Lois married Stanley McIlquham on Aug. 18, 1945 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls. They resided in the town of Anson, where they owned a dairy farm.

She was a member of Anson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: four daughters, Verna McIlquham of Elk Mound, Linda (Greg) Sweeney of Afton, Minn., Laura (Charles) Boos of Eau Claire, Mary (Mark) Benson of Eau Claire; a son, Dale (Lori) McIlquham of Jim Falls; a brother, Eugene Berg of Chippewa Falls; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; sister-in-law Doris Berg; and her husband, Stanley on Dec. 13, 2010.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 22 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls, with Rev. Steve Scott of Anson United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Copp Cemetery, town of Anson.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Sunday, April 21 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and may be designated to Anson United Methodist Church.

Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, Chippewa Falls, is serving the family.

220 MADISON - Phyllis A. Daggett, age 86, of Madison, "Keeper of the Angels" is now an angel, and passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Trinity Senior Living. She was born on Jan. 26, 1930, in Stanley, Wis., the daughter of Peter and Ethel (LeBlanc) Lauer.

Phyllis married Bob Daggett on Oct. 15, 1955, in Madison. She worked at Dean Clinic for 25 years and volunteered for Independent Living for over 35 years. Phyllis was a member, and past chaplain, of the Women of the Moose. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and most recently a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Mary (Gary) Cragin, Jacqueline (Ray) Bachmann, and Michael (Cari) Daggett; grandchildren, Joshua (Jenny) Walters, Jeni (Nick) Hilker, Connie (Seth) Swieter, Robert Tallman (fiancé, Ashton Lambert), and Karl Bachmann (fiancée, Jessica Becker); great-grandchildren, Haley, Jase, Josie, Jacqueline and Aubrey; and special friend, Ellen Uebersetzig and her husband, Tom.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; daughter, Gerri Walters; infant sister, Margaret; and her beloved dog, Shadow.

Private family services will be held at Lakeview Chapel in Madison, with the Rev. Dean Kirst presiding. Entombment will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. 224 Margaret C. "Peggy" Carpenter, 98, of Winona died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at St. Elizabeth's Health Care Center, in Wabasha, Minn.

She was born March 3, 1913, to Carl and Elizabeth (Hilbe) Goetzman. On June 2, 1936, Margaret married Eldridge Smith; they later divorced. On Dec. 30, 1955, she was married to Bruce Carpenter and later divorced.

A lifelong resident of Winona, she was born and raised in West Burns Valley, attended the old Sugar Loaf School and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1931. For about 23 years, she worked as a nurse's aide at Winona General Hospital and then Community Memorial Hospital and ended her career as an LPN. Margaret was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and she enjoyed walking in the woods, bird-watching, traveling, especially to the national parks, crocheting, and cooking and baking for family and friends. Time with her family was a great treasure to Margaret. She will be greatly missed.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sally (Wayne) Reich, Rochester, Minn., and Sandra (Anthony) Kalica, Manchester, N.H.; grandchildren, Mark (Cindy) Porter, Michael Porter, Paul (Deeann) Kalica and Joseph Kalica; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;

sister, Irene Gallagher, St. Petersburg, Fla.; many nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arnold Goetzman; and sisters, Florence Goetzman, Helen Jereczek, Anne Piechowiak, Dorothy Malotke, Ruth Goergen and Rose Goetzman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday,

Dec. 8, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.

The Rev. Richard Colletti will officiate.

Margaret will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, Winona.

Visitation will be at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

She was born March 9, 1929, in Chilton, Wis., to Andrew and Mary (Utschig) Salm. She married Franklin Delano "Del" Hammond in 1959.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Howard Pritchard of Crete Ill.; and a sister, Armella (Jack) Mangin of Biloxi, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Esther McHugh.

The funeral is 11 a.m., Tuesday at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, Bellevue, with Father Jonathan Wight officiating. Burial is to be at Deyo Cemetery.

Visitation is to be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

229 Mary Nesbitt, age 82 of 260 N. Ellis Avenue, Peshtigo, Wisconsin, passed away April 4, 2005 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette, WI. She was born on Jan. 27, 1923, the daughter of the late Frank and Victoria Pecho. On Dec. 27, 1941, she married Everett W. Nesbitt in Oconto, WI. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1991.

Mary is survived by one daughter Faye Nesbitt; a brother Frank Pecho and two sisters: Kate Fruendt and Anne Votava. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter Mary Jane; two brothers Carl and Paul Pecho and two sisters Rosie and Pauline.
